Can I track multiple jobs with different pay rates?

Yes! Salarybook excels at managing multiple jobs. You can set different hourly rates, overtime rules, and schedules for each job. Switch between them with a simple tap.

How can I set and view my overtime?

To enable overtime:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Select your job.
  3. Turn on Enable Overtime.
  4. Configure your Pay Rate Multiplier, Applies After threshold, and Overtime Period.

To view your overtime:

  • On the Dashboard, select a period (Today/Week/Month) to see your Total Overtime.
  • Tap any work entry in the Calendar to see overtime details for that entry.

The app calculates overtime automatically based on your logged hours.

How does the real-time earnings calculation work?

As you track your hours, Salarybook automatically calculates your earnings based on your hourly rate. View your income by day, week, month, or year with beautiful charts and detailed breakdowns.

Can I export my timesheets for invoicing?

Absolutely! Export your detailed timesheets to CSV format for easy importing into invoicing software. Additionally, an overview of all worked hours can be emailed directly from within the app to clients, employers, or yourself.

Does the app work offline?

Yes! Salarybook works completely offline. Track your hours anywhere, anytime. You can backup your data to Dropbox for extra security.

What about iOS widgets and notifications?

Salarybook includes convenient iOS widgets for your home screen, letting you check on the totals of worked hours or earned amounts at a glance. Smart notifications remind you to enter your hours and keep your records up to date.

How do I set up an email account to send timesheet overviews?

If you see the message that there is no email account set yet, this means the Mail app on your iPhone does not have any account linked to it.

To set up your email account:

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone.
  2. Scroll down and tap Mail.
  3. Tap Accounts.
  4. Tap Add Account.
  5. Select your email provider (e.g., Outlook for Hotmail, Gmail, iCloud).
  6. Enter your email address and password, then follow the on-screen instructions.

Once your account is added, you can return to the app and try sending your overview again.

How do I change the currency in the app?

The currency displayed in the app is determined by your device's regional settings.

To change the currency:

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone.
  2. Go to General.
  3. Tap Language & Region.
  4. Select Region and choose the country/region for which you want the currency to be displayed in the app.

Once you change your region, the app will automatically display amounts in the currency associated with that region. For example, selecting United States will display USD ($), selecting United Kingdom will display GBP (£), and selecting European countries will display EUR (€).

Is Salarybook a pay tracker and earnings tracker too?

Yes. Set an hourly rate for each job and Salarybook works as a pay tracker and earnings tracker — it adds up what you earn per shift and shows your total earnings by day, week, month, or year with charts.

Does Salarybook work like a paycheck calculator?

Yes. Once you set your pay rate and overtime rules, Salarybook automatically calculates your gross pay from the hours you log, including overtime. It does not deduct taxes (these vary by country) and it supports multiple currencies based on your device region.

Can I track hours and pay across multiple jobs and currencies?

Absolutely. Add unlimited jobs, each with its own pay rate, overtime rules, and currency, and track hours, pay, and earnings separately for every one.
